Session Preparation
Location:
Have you thought about where you might want your session to be? Have you seen a location I have shot at that you might want to use? Location is such an important part of your session, sometimes it's as simple as in your home, studio setting, or at a park. Other times it is a beautiful landmark or beautiful wild field somewhere, or maybe even a riverbed or special location only you know! OR you can leave it up to me! After you fill out your client questionnaire, I usually have an idea of what you are wanting to achieve with your session and I will not let you down!
Outfit:
What you wear or have your family wear is to your sessions will also play a huge roll in how your photos are in the final reveal. Color scheme, patterns, are all details you want to pay attention to. I always recommend neutral, earthy tones, paired with jeans, or khakis and shoes as well. IF your session is more fun and vibrant we will talk more and pin down some perfect outfits for you to capture, colors can be fun too!
What to bring:
You really only need to bring yourselves to your session, of course if you are doing a family session and if you have little ones I always come prepared with bubbles, a treat, and music if we need some inspiration! I will bring blankets, and any props we discuss to the session! If your session is for branding bring all your products and outfit changes to the session and we will capture it all, bring business cards, laptop, and anything else you use to build your business and brand!
If your session is boudoir Bring your outfits, and make up for touch up, if you're using my client closet just bring your make up for touchups!
Newborn sessions are tricky, we usually talk all details and I recommend bringing an extra feeding (or be prepared to nurse at least once), bring a change of diapers and bring a pacifier if you use those. I will have a white noise machine and hear going to keep the environment warm and calm for them as we shoot! I have son many props and outfits, but you're welcome to bring your own especially if it is lifestyle!
